YESS Admission Criteria & Program CompletionADMISSION CRITERIAThe following criteria must be met before a young adult can transition into YESS:
As this program is highly proactive and requires the young adult to be a “working partner” in the process, the following applicants will not be considered:
a. Individuals currently determined as high risk sex offenders or fire setters.
PROGRAM COMPLETIONA client will complete the program when they have either turned 21 years of age or have achieved a high level of self-sufficiency, and are deemed to be able to live independently (without YESS-type supports). DISMISSALA young adult will be dismissed if he or she is not attending a school, working, or engaging in volunteer work (unless “officially” exempted). YESS-model programs will also discharge young adults if they are using or selling drugs, or taking part in any other illegal activity. |
